Resolved, That the House of Deputies of the the 80th General Convention conveys its deep affection, utmost gratitude, and thanksgiving to Mark J. Duffy for his thirty-year ministry as Canonical Archivist of the Episcopal Church and as Director of The Episcopal Church Archives; and be it further

Resolved, That we recognize his instrumental role in expanding the holdings of the Archives and establishing its website, digital archive, and social media platform in collaboration with a small but devoted and dedicated staff and the Board of the Archives; and be it further

Resolved, That we give thanks for efforts over the past decade to envision and secure a new permanent home for the Archives, and in the last year his efforts overseeing the transfer of the Archives to a temporary location in the midst of a worldwide pandemic; and be it further

Resolved, That The Episcopal Church extends best wishes to Mark J. Duffy on his retirement from a ministry carried out with exemplary dedication, energy, grace, humor, integrity, prayer, knowledge, and skill.
