The House of Deputies informs the House of Bishops that on Jul 8, 2022 it considered resolution D086 (Honoring The Rev. Dr. Fran Yee Toy). The house acted to:

Resolved, That the House of Deputies of the 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church commends the ministry of The Reverend Dr. Fran Yee Toy, as both a lay leader and the first Asian American woman ordained as a priest (1985) in The Episcopal Church; and be it further

Resolved, That we acknowledge that in her role as the Church Divinity School of the Pacific Director of Alumni/ae and Student Affairs, she mentored, provided pastoral care and helped deploy many of its graduates into positions throughout The Episcopal Church and mentored many women clergy throughout their ministries; and be it further

Resolved, That we acknowledge her leadership gifts as a Deputy to General Convention and her service on the Executive Council, CREDO Faculty, and President of the Episcopal Asiamerica Ministry Council,; and be it further

Resolved, That this House of Deputies honors her long career of ministry as a trailblazer and blesses her with continued good health along with the best wishes from the members of the General Convention.
