Resolved, that the House of Bishops, meeting at this 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church, gathered in Baltimore, Maryland, sends our greetings and the assurance of our prayers to the Reverend Professor Dr. Jerry Pillay upon his recent election as General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, and affirms our ongoing commitment to this worldwide fellowship of Churches seeking unity, a common witness, and Christian service; and be it further

Resolved, the House of Bishops expresses our gratitude to the Reverend Dr. Olav Fiske Tveit for his 20 years of tireless service as General Secretary, and our congratulations on his election in 2020 as Preses of the Bishops’ Conference of the Church of Norway.
