Resolved, That the House of Deputies of the 80th General Convention commends The Honorable Byron Rushing on his multiple terms as Vice President of this House; and be it further

Resolved, That we recognize and honor his powerful and prophetic voice on social justice and anti-discrimination issues in the secular realm—as member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives—and as a member of denominational boards and caucuses; and be it further

Resolved, That we acknowledge and appreciate his deep commitment to The Episcopal Church, extending our gratitude for his presence as General Convention deputy for the Diocese of Massachusetts since 1973, as a member of Executive Council, and as Vice President of the House of Deputies.
