Resolved, That the House of Deputies of the 80th General Convention congratulates The Rev. Gay Clark Jennings on her distinguished three triennia-plus-one-year tenure as its devoted President; and be it further

Resolved, That we have been immeasurably blessed by her even longer and equally distinguished service as a deputy to General Convention; and be it further

Resolved, That we are forever grateful to her as an inspiring and frequently amusing and entertaining model of wisdom, patience, persistence, and sharp wit; a living handbook of legislative knowledge and experience; and a warm friend and mentor to a host of deputies; and be it further

Resolved, That we also honor her for encouraging and involving younger people in our church’s leadership roles; and be it further

Resolved, That her pastoral presence has been extended not only to The Episcopal Church but to all the shores where her feet touch ground; and be it further

Resolved, That we acknowledge her dedication and service to her many ministries in The Episcopal Church and to its General Convention, and we wish her a happy future of rest and relaxation with husband Albert and family.
